The Pre-Arrival Form is a mandatory form for international students before entering the country and beginning studies at Arkansas State University (A-State). Completing this form correctly and fully helps the university prepare enrollment records, support check-in, orientation, and visa/SEVIS-related procedures.
What Is the Pre-Arrival Form? Why Must A-State Students Complete It?
The Pre-Arrival Form is a form confirming entry information and travel plans to the US for international students who have already been issued an I-20 / DS-2019 by A-State.
- The form should only be submitted after you have received your F-1 or J-1 visa
- It must be completed before your departure date to the US

Steps to Complete the Pre-Arrival Form

Enter Your Personal Information (About You and Your Arrival)
Students should fill in the following information completely:
- First Name / Last Name
- Date of Birth
- A-State ID Number
- SEVIS Number
- Country of Citizenship
- Email Address
Select Your Enrollment Term & Arrival Date in the US
- Term You Are Admitted For: The term you were admitted for
- Date of Arrival: Your planned date of arrival in the US / at A-State
Confirm On-Campus Housing
Students should select:
- Yes – Living in on-campus housing
- No – Living off campus
⚠️ If arriving in the US earlier than the residence hall opening date, students are responsible for their own accommodations.
Select Your Educational Level & Major
- ESL / Undergraduate / Graduate
- Major (the major you were admitted to)
Upload Required Documents
📌 Required uploads:
- I-20 or DS-2019
- Passport (personal information page)
- F-1 or J-1 visa
Upload Additional Documents (Optional Uploads)
📎 Not required, but recommended:
- Immunization records (MMR, if available)
- Flight information
Submit the Form
After completing all required fields, students click Submit to send the form.
What Should Students Do After Submitting the Pre-Arrival Form?
After successfully submitting the form, students should:
- Watch for a confirmation email from A-State
- Prepare for Orientation & Check-in
- Finalize housing, insurance, and immunization requirements
- Arrange flights & airport pickup (if applicable)
