A 5,000,000 VND reward for each successful referral
This is a programme run by A-State’s authorised admissions office in Vietnam — it is not a university scholarship or a university payment. The reward is 5,000,000 VND per student you refer, paid after that student enrols and completes first-semester tuition payment. It is not paid at earlier milestones, because an application can still stop partway.
Conditions
- Counted once per enrolled student, for the first person who referred them
- The student referred was not already in the office’s system
- Paid after the student enrols and pays first-semester tuition
- For individuals; contracted agencies receive partner commission instead of this reward
- The office confirms the full terms in writing before any payment

- Guidance through the application, the I-20 and the steps that follow

The most useful thing you can give the next student is not admissions information — we have that. It is the answer to the questions no website covers: what the first week in Jonesboro is like, how an American classroom differs, how you actually make friends. If you are willing to share, say so in the notes box and we will be in touch.
About the data of the person you refer
You are submitting someone else’s personal data, so the form carries one required confirmation: that you have asked them and they agreed. If you have not asked yet, leave their contact fields blank and choose “send the information to me” — we will send you the material to pass on yourself.
On personal income tax
The 5,000,000 VND figure is before tax. Under current Vietnamese rules, payments of 2,000,000 VND or more to an individual without an employment contract are subject to 10% personal income tax withholding. The office will state the net amount and how it is declared when confirming with you — we would rather you not receive a different figure from the one you read here.
If you are a current A-State student in the USA
F-1 students face strict limits on receiving income. This reward is paid by a Vietnamese company inside Vietnam, but before accepting it you should check with the university’s Office of International Programs and Services or an immigration attorney that it does not affect your status. We do not give immigration advice and cannot make that assessment for you.

Frequently asked questions
Does this cost me anything?
No. Neither you nor the person you refer pays the office a service fee. University charges such as the application fee and deposits are paid directly to the university.
When do I receive the 5,000,000 VND?
After the student you referred enrols and completes first-semester tuition payment. We do not pay at the offer or I-20 stage, because an application can still stop there.
Is the amount I receive exactly 5,000,000 VND?
That is the figure before tax. Under Vietnamese rules, payments of 2,000,000 VND or more to an individual without an employment contract are subject to 10% personal income tax withholding. The office states the net amount when confirming with you.
If I refer two people, do I get it twice?
Yes. The reward is per enrolled student and there is no cap on how many people you refer. Each student counts once, for whoever referred them first.
Can I refer someone I have not asked yet?
Yes. Leave their contact fields blank and choose “send the information to me”. We will send you the material to forward, and will not contact them without permission.
What if I do not remember my exact graduation year?
That field is optional. Leave it blank and tell us when we follow up.
How do I refer more than one person?
Send the form once per person so the details stay separate. If you have a longer list, mention it in the notes and we will show you an easier way to send it.
Does the person I refer have to apply?
No. A referral is only an introduction so they can get advice. They are free to look into it and decide against applying.
I live outside Vietnam — can I still refer someone?
Yes. The office works in Vietnamese and English and can correspond by email across time zones.
