A-State in Vietnam: Four Days, Four University Fairs, Three Cities

Over four consecutive days, 12 to 15 September 2026, Arkansas State University’s Vietnam Office took the A-State table to four university fairs in three cities: two weekend fairs organised by Đức Anh EduConnect in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, followed by two fairs held inside international schools in Hai Phong.

The weekend: Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi

The two Đức Anh EduConnect fairs fell on a Saturday and a Sunday and were open to every student and parent — a chance for families to come together and compare several universities in one visit.

At the A-State table we brought what can be answered with sourced figures rather than ranges: the university’s 2026–27 cost of attendance, the tuition schedule A-State publishes for students from Vietnam, and the ELA English route for students below the entry threshold.

Early in the week: two international schools in Hai Phong

The fairs at QSI International School and The Dewey Schools fell on a Monday and a Tuesday, held on campus during the school day — so the people who sat down at the table were the students themselves. We brought a Vietnamese-language information sheet for them to take home and read with their parents.

Ten minutes at a fair is only a start. These are the next steps, in order:

1. Get your own numbers. The cost page breaks every line down by the credit load you plan to take.
2. Short of an IELTS score? Look at the ELA — English on campus, then straight into your degree. The ELA programme.
3. When you apply, enter agent code VNI. It is the Vietnam Office’s code — for students from Vietnam it applies the tuition schedule the university publishes for them ($7,350 less each year), and it puts the office on your file at no charge. How to apply.
