Master of Arts in English: A Top English Master's Program in the USA

Arkansas State University is currently accepting applications for its Master of Arts in English program. International students can apply for both the Fall and Spring intakes each year.

Program Overview:

The M.A. English is a master's program in English literature that prepares students to teach at the community college level or to enter a doctoral program in English, although graduates may also pursue careers or further study in many other fields.

Students in this program at A-State have the opportunity to serve as an editorial assistant for the Arkansas Review, with the possibility of advancing to editorial positions. Tasks completed by editorial assistants include typing and proofreading copy, managing business correspondence, meeting weekly with the editor-in-chief, assigning book reviews, screening manuscripts, preparing mailings, delivering copies to the post office and local bookstores, working with authors, and attending statewide conferences and festivals to promote the journal. The experience gained as an editorial assistant can prepare students for work at other academic journals or in trade publishing and other publishing fields.
