Admissions

For Transfer Students

In addition, students transferring into a bachelor's degree program need to follow a few steps:

1. SUBMIT OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS

The Office of International Students at A-State needs to receive official transcript documents from the school you previously attended.

2. INITIAL TRANSFER EVALUATION

A-State's Registrar Office will complete an initial transfer evaluation for all applicants.

3. SCHEDULE AN ADVISING APPOINTMENT

Upon arriving on campus, students should contact an advisor to complete the transfer process. Students should be sure to have their syllabi and course descriptions for each course ready.

4. COLLEGE / DEPARTMENT REVIEWS TRANSFER CREDIT ELIGIBILITY

Any course being considered for transfer credit must be evaluated and approved by the college/department and the advisor before it can be applied to Arkansas State University's system.

5. APPROVED CREDITS ARE SENT TO THE REGISTRAR'S OFFICE

For any approved credits, the reviewing department will send the information to the Registrar's Office.

6. THE REGISTRAR'S OFFICE UPDATES THE TRANSFER EVALUATION WORKSHEET

A-State's Registrar Office will make the necessary updates to the student's transfer evaluation worksheet.
