A-State Students Present STEM Posters at the State Capitol

LITTLE ROCK – Students from Arkansas State University (A-State) took part in Arkansas STEM Posters (Arkansas STEM Posters) on Wednesday at an event held at the State Capitol. College students from across the state presented research projects at the Capitol Rotunda.

The presenting students from A-State were Salma Abdel-Karim of Jonesboro, Brilee Petty of Humboldt, Tenn., and Sangam Chudal of Nepal. Joining them were Dr. Travis Marsico, associate vice chancellor for research, innovation, and discovery and executive director of the Arkansas Biosciences Institute; Dr. Argelia Lorence, professor of metabolic engineering; and Kari Harris, director of student research. Interim chancellor of the ASU System, Dr. Robin Myers, and members of the system staff also attended the event and listened to the presentations.
