Phi Kappa Phi Scholarship Awarded to Ann Marie Long

JONESBORO – Ann Marie Long, who graduated from Arkansas State University this spring with a bachelor's degree in political science and history, has been awarded a $8,500 Phi Kappa Phi Scholarship.
“I am truly honored to receive this graduate scholarship. Phi Kappa Phi's dedication to helping students pursue educational opportunities at home and abroad is truly wonderful, and I am proud to represent them and A-State as I use this scholarship to fund my graduate education,” Long said.
While on campus, Long, a native of Jackson, Mo., was the recipient of the 2024 Outstanding Service Award, a member of the Honors College Executive Council, a senator in the Student Government Association, a commissioner of the Action Fund, and an intern at the Women's Business Leadership Center.
Long will begin her studies at Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service in Washington, D.C., where she is pursuing a master's degree in security studies. Her goal is to work in national security as an intelligence analyst or researcher.
The Phi Kappa Phi Scholarship is awarded annually. Long was among 54 recipients of the $8,500 scholarship. These awards are given to students entering their first year of graduate study.
